Bergin Associates is a small business, allowing us to provide comprehensive service in all aspects of building and renovation work throughout Mount Desert Island and beyond. We’re newly relocated to Bar Harbor but with a shop site in Blue Hill do many projects throughout the Blue Hill Peninsula and Down East. Established in 1999, with a reputation built on quality workmanship, we use our extensive building and design expertise to tackle a wide range of building projects, from structural rebuilds, historical restoration, to new construction frame to finish with a special interest in low energy buildings.

Matthew Bergin, the proprietor, is a carpenter by trade and has gained extensive experience in all aspects of Environmental Planning and Restoration from years of work with a diverse range of builders and national and international training. Degrees in biology and law heightened his keen interest in building science dynamics. A huge variety of projects leaves us well positioned to deliver your future buildings both affordably and technically advanced.
